Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in our first session?
Our first session is a spacious, grounding conversation. It’s a chance for you to share your story, your rhythms, and what’s bringing you into this work now. I’ll ask some questions to better understand your experiences, and we’ll explore what support might look like moving forward. It’s not about rushing into a treatment plan—it’s about beginning a relationship built on safety, attunement, and trust.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're asking that question, you're already tuning into something important. Therapy isn’t just for when things fall apart—it’s also a path of remembering who you are beneath the survival. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or simply a longing for deeper connection and clarity, therapy can offer a steady hand and a mirror to your inner world.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?
I offer both. Virtual sessions are available for clients across the states I’m licensed in, and in-person work is available at select locations for deeper therapeutic work, including retreats and psychedelic journeys. The format depends on what we’re working with—and what’s most supportive for you.

What issues do you specialize in treating?
I work primarily with adults navigating complex trauma, early childhood wounds, identity shifts, grief, and the deep longing for healing that often doesn’t have a name. My work is especially attuned to those who carry survival strategies that no longer serve them—perfectionism, numbness, people-pleasing, chronic self-doubt—and who are ready to meet themselves more honestly and gently.

How long does therapy typically last?
There’s no one-size-fits-all here. Some clients come for a season of focused work; others stay for longer arcs of healing and transformation. I don’t believe in pathologizing how long it takes—we go at the pace of your nervous system, your soul, and your readiness.

What’s your approach to therapy?
My approach blends depth-oriented psychotherapy with somatic, experiential, and trauma-informed methods. I draw from body-centered Gestalt, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, psychedelic assisted therapy and parts work. I also integrate typology (MBTI and Enneagram) and spiritual frameworks when appropriate. This is therapy that doesn't just analyze symptoms—it honors your whole being.

How do you work with trauma and childhood wounds?
Gently, relationally, and with deep reverence. Trauma is not just what happened—it’s how your body had to adapt to survive. I work at the level of the nervous system, the implicit body memory, and the parts of you that have been waiting decades to be witnessed. This is not about pushing through—it’s about creating the safety to soften, feel, and integrate.

Do you accept insurance?
I don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. Many clients with PPO plans are able to get partial reimbursement. I’m happy to help walk you through that process.

What are your rates, and how does payment work?
We’ll talk about rates during our initial consultation. I accept cash, all major credit cards, electronic payments, and most Health Savings (HSA) or Flex Spending (FSA) cards. Payment should be as easeful as the work itself.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card to pay for therapy?
Yes—therapy is an eligible expense for most Health Savings Accounts and Flex Spending Accounts. It’s a beautiful way to invest those resources in your healing.

Do you offer therapy for couples or groups?
I don’t offer traditional therapy for couples at this time. My individual work is deeply focused and relational, and that’s where my primary practice lives. However, I do offer psychedelic-assisted work for couples who are looking to engage in transformative healing together—particularly when both partners are ready to explore expanded states with intention, care, and skilled support. I also facilitate group offerings for integration, inner child healing, and other themed therapeutic processes.

What’s the difference between traditional therapy and psychedelic-assisted therapy?
Traditional therapy works primarily through dialogue and relationship over time, and it can be profoundly effective. Psychedelic-assisted therapy introduces expanded states of consciousness, allowing access to buried memories, somatic imprints, and insight that might not surface through talk therapy alone. Both paths can be healing—the difference is in the doorway we walk through.

I’m curious about psychedelic work—how do I know if it’s right for me?
That curiosity is a powerful signal. Psychedelic work isn’t for everyone, and it’s not a shortcut—but when done with preparation, intention, and support, it can be catalytic. If you’re feeling stuck in long-standing patterns, or sensing something deeper calling you, we can explore whether this kind of work aligns with your readiness, nervous system, and goals.
Is psychedelic therapy legal?
Some psychedelic-assisted therapies are legal within specific frameworks. I am a licensed Psilocybin Facilitator in Oregon and Colorado, where psilocybin is now legally accessible under regulated programs. I also offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy in collaboration with medical providers. All work is done ethically, with safety and legal integrity at the core.
Do you prescribe medication or work with doctors who do?
I don’t prescribe medication myself, but I collaborate closely with trusted medical professionals for clients who need psychiatric care or prescriptions for ketamine. We can create a wraparound team that supports you from multiple angles—mind, body, and spirit.

What’s your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. If less than 24 hours is given, the full session fee will be charged. I deeply value your time and mine—and the more notice you can give, the better. It allows me to offer that space to someone else who may be in need of care. I understand that life happens, and I’ll always approach these moments with compassion and clarity.

Is everything I share in therapy confidential?
Yes—what you share in therapy stays in therapy. There are a few legally required exceptions related to safety, which I’ll review with you at the beginning. But overall, this space is yours. Your truth is safe here.

How do I get started?
Begin by scheduling a consultation call. It’s a chance for us to connect, for you to ask questions, and to feel into whether this work feels like a fit. From there, we’ll decide together how to move forward.
