Meet Kate
Kate Schroeder, LPC, LMHC, NCC is a multi-state licensed psychotherapist credentialed in Missouri, Washington, and Oregon, with advanced specialization in depression, anxiety, complex PTSD (C-PTSD), and the enduring psychological impacts of childhood trauma. In addition to her clinical licensure, Kate is a Licensed Psilocybin Facilitator in both Oregon and Colorado, one of the few practitioners nationally positioned at the intersection of psychotherapy and psychedelic medicine.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in depth-oriented, body-centered modalities and is informed by decades of experience in affective, somatic, experiential, and psychedelic-assisted therapies. She is a Body-Centered Gestalt Psychotherapist and Certified Facilitator in the Three Keys Model, weaving together relational attunement, somatic intelligence, and trauma-informed presence to create spaces for transformative healing.

Kate is a Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist with advanced training in Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy, and integrates complementary frameworks such as Somatic Experiencing® and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support deep nervous system regulation and inner parts work. A lifelong student of personality systems, Kate is a certified MBTI® practitioner and has advanced training in the Enneagram, using these tools not just for insight but as clinical frameworks for understanding core defenses, identity structures, and pathways to integration.

Her work is rooted in the belief that healing is not just about symptom relief—but about reclaiming the self, restoring wholeness, and awakening the innate intelligence of the human spirit. She brings equal parts clinical precision and soul-centered presence to her work, offering a powerful therapeutic container for those ready to do deep emotional excavation and transformation.

My Philosophy
My approach to counseling is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and integrative framework that honors the complex interplay between early developmental experiences, attachment patterns, and the neurobiological imprint of trauma. I view therapy as a collaborative process rooted in attuned presence, where healing unfolds through the re-establishment of safety, regulation, and authentic connection—internally and interpersonally.
Clinically, I draw from affective neuroscience, somatic psychology, and experiential models, including Body-Centered Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Experiencing®, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other depth-oriented modalities. I also integrate psychedelic-assisted therapy when legally and ethically appropriate, viewing it as a profound adjunct to trauma resolution and ego reintegration. My orientation is both evidence-informed and spiritually attuned, respecting the ways psyche and soma communicate through symptoms, patterns, and embodied narrative.
I believe that healing is not merely the alleviation of distress, but the reclamation of wholeness. My role as a clinician is to help clients reconnect to the parts of themselves that were once disowned, to restore a sense of safety and agency in the body, and to support the emergence of an integrated self. This work is both rigorous and reverent—anchored in clinical skill, guided by relational wisdom, and always in service of the client’s inherent capacity to heal.
Say yes to your journey inward.
An invitation to do the deep work—where insight meets embodiment, and healing begins from the inside out.
